A slab leak estimate depends heavily on where the leak is, how the pipe is repaired, and how much finished flooring or concrete must be opened and restored. This is a planning tool, not a diagnosis.
How the estimate works
The calculator uses broad repair-method allowances and then adjusts for access, leak detection, and floor restoration. Plumbing layout, pipe material, permitting, water damage, and the need for broader repiping can change the final cost substantially.
What the result does — and doesn’t — tell you
Use the result as a first-pass planning number. Real projects and equipment choices can change because of local prices, codes, product specifications, site access, material condition, labor, taxes, disposal fees, permitting, or engineering requirements.

Take the calculator result as a budget band, then ask two or three local contractors to price the same scope. Give each contractor the same measurements and choices so you can compare bids on equal terms. Ask what is included, what could trigger a change order, and whether permits, disposal, restoration, haul-away, or equipment are included. A very low bid can be missing work that another contractor has already included.
