How to use this concrete leveling cost calculator
Concrete leveling can be a lower-cost alternative to slab replacement when the concrete is still structurally usable. This tool estimates a broad planning range for mudjacking or polyurethane lifting.
How the estimate works
The estimate starts with a square-foot rate by lifting method, then adjusts for settlement severity and access. Contractors may also have minimum service charges, and extensive void filling can increase material use.
What the result does — and doesn’t — tell you
Use the result as a first-pass planning number. Real projects and equipment choices can change because of local prices, codes, product specifications, site access, material condition, labor, taxes, disposal fees, permitting, or engineering requirements.
- Recheck your measurements and use the actual project or equipment specifications whenever they are available.
- Compare the estimate with at least one real supplier, contractor, rental company, manufacturer chart, or local authority before committing money.
- Leave room for taxes, permits, delivery, disposal, site preparation, upgrades, or other items that are not visible in a simple online calculator.
Before you act on the result
Take the calculator result as a budget band, then ask two or three local contractors to price the same scope. Give each contractor the same measurements and choices so you can compare bids on equal terms. Ask what is included, what could trigger a change order, and whether permits, disposal, restoration, haul-away, or equipment are included. A very low bid can be missing work that another contractor has already included.
Getting from an online estimate to a real quote
- Sunken slab area (sq ft): The amount of slab being treated influences drilling, material use, setup, and total labor.
- Leveling method: Mudjacking and polyurethane lifting use different materials, equipment, hole sizes, and pricing structures.
- Settlement: Deeper settlement or large subsurface voids may require more lifting material and stabilization work.
- Access: Open access usually reduces labor and equipment complexity; fences, narrow gates, slopes, and structures can increase it.
